Exc 525 oil level rising

Right fellas here is my problem I wonder if you can help, 2007 525 exc changed the oil and filters, warmed motor up first, then drained, pre soaked the new filters in oil prior to fitting, oil in, fired up and ran then left and checked level set next day when cool, level was set to just below the round mark in the sight glass,
Had a run out prob 5-6 hours runtime, checked oil few days later prior to run out and the level was almost at the top of the window, engine was cold and on same stand on level garage floor.
So dropped oil back out and refilled with fresh again making sure was just under the dot in window, run out on Sunday, prob 5 hours runtime and it's right at the too of the window again, cold engine.
Any ideas what could be causing this?

Yeah mate lol, I had it on the same stand under the same place on the engine every time. Also had it stood with wheels on ground resting against workbench.
Last time out I turned fuel off pretty much everytime I didn't have the engine running incase it was still coming thru the carb somehow

Surely pre soaking the filters won't make a difference ? I left the bike overnight before setting the level so any oil will have ran back into the bottom of engine and the last oil change I never touched the filters.
Have checked the water level before every ride and it's never used a drop, level is just above the top of the core, in my mind it's getting petrol in the oil but I can't work out how, not been in any deep water to get any in that way if it was possible

The oil did smell of fuel pretty strongly after I dropped it out before my last ride. I can't work out how it's getting in there if it's petrol?
I left the bike overnight both times to let it settle and any residual heat in the engine to disperse.
The oil was pretty grey when it came out even after just the 5 hour run, was lovely bright putoline when it went in

Is your breather hose(s) that hang down at the bottom of the bike blocked?
This seams a long shot but if the float bowl breather is blocked then fuel won't have anywhere (safe) to flow. So I may be flowing into the 'crank case' breather' instead?

The crank case breather is the one that connects to the air box/carb boot and the front right hand side of the engine case.

Just another angle o check for no cost.....
